Bing
Bing's new search engine and Edge web browser are the next generation of search and browsing, infused with AI to create an integrated experience. This "co-pilot for the web" uses AI to answer questions directly and generate content, making it fast, timely, and beneficial for businesses. Additionally, the disruptive ideas that AI allows for, like content generation, show what's possible with this technology.
Bing is running on a new Next Generation large language model, much more powerful than chat GPT, that is customized specifically for search. This allows us to improve the relevancy of Answers by feeding in and better tuning queries given our understanding of the web search index. In addition, Bing has expanded its search box capacity to accept up to a thousand characters, since it now works with natural language. To make this experience even better, Bing has introduced a unified experience across search, browser and chat, as well as a quick feedback button at the top of every search page in order to continually learn and improve. As an example of the new capabilities, when I'm shopping I can ask Bing to search, find and compare the top three selling pet vacuums.
Bing's new search engine has revolutionized how users look for gaming optimized TVs. With up to 2 000 characters, you can talk directly to the search box and refine your shopping experience with Bing's chat scope. Research has shown that people spend weeks or even months planning trips with their organizational tools.
Additionally, Bing's language models are helping to bridge cultural divides by giving users access to art, music, and literature from around the world. As an example, I recently asked Bing to show me the 'top Japanese poets' and was provided with content and inspiration that made my daily life easier.
Moreover, Bing can translate automatically in over a hundred languages and help you get started with just a simple request – “Hey, translate this to Spanish” – and it will take the entire email or itinerary and convert it into the desired language.
